This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage that aabforandroid.com uses, and how you can control them.
The short version: we use a few necessary cookies to keep the site working and secure. We also use Google Analytics cookies to count visits – only after you choose “Accept all”. We do not use advertising cookies.
On this page
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Browser storage, such as “local storage”, works in a similar way. Both let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as your settings.
2. Cookies we use
This is the complete list. All of them are necessary for the site to work and stay secure.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
aab_consent |
AABforAndroid | Remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. | 90 days |
aab-theme (browser storage) |
AABforAndroid | Remembers whether you chose dark or light mode. | Until you clear your browser data |
| Language setting | GTranslate | Remembers the language you picked in the language menu. Only set if you change language. | Set by GTranslate |
cf_clearance, __cf_bm |
Cloudflare | Security: shows that your browser passed a check and helps tell people from bots. | Short-lived (minutes to hours) |
_ga, _ga_* |
Google Analytics | Optional. Tells visits apart, so we can count visitors and see which pages are useful. Set only after you choose “Accept all”. | Up to 2 years |
3. Necessary and optional cookies
Necessary cookies make the site work and keep it secure, so they are always on.
Optional cookies – today only Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) – are set only after you choose “Accept all”. Before that, Analytics works without cookies: Google receives only a cookieless signal without any identifier. If you choose “Only necessary”, Analytics does not load at all. You can change your choice anytime with “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page. If we add other optional cookies, we will list them here first.
4. Your choice
On your first visit, our cookie bar asks what you prefer: “Accept all” or “Only necessary”. We remember your choice for 90 days, and then ask again.
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings, a link at the bottom of every page.
5. Content from other companies
Some parts of our pages load from other companies:
- Cloudflare – runs the security check that protects the site.
- GTranslate – provides the language menu and page translations.
- Google Analytics – counts visits. It loads only once the page sees that a person is using it, and not at all if you chose “Only necessary”.
- YouTube – videos use privacy-enhanced mode and only load from YouTube when you press play. After that, YouTube may store data in your browser under its own policy.
These companies can see your IP address when their content loads. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
6. Cookies in your browser settings
You can delete cookies and block them in your browser. Look for “cookies” or “site data” in the privacy settings of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or the browser you use.
If you block necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work properly. For example, the security check or the cookie bar may appear again on every visit.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this page whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
