Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how you stay in control of your data.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains what information AABforAndroid collects when you visit aabforandroid.com, why we use it, which companies help us run the site, and the choices you have.

We keep it short because we collect very little: the site has no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no payments. You can browse and download without telling us who you are.

No sign-up

Browsing and downloading never require an account, a name or a password.

Never sold

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your cookie choice

Only necessary cookies run until you decide. Change your choice anytime under Cookie Settings.

1. Who we are

AABforAndroid (“we”, “us”) runs aabforandroid.com, a library of Android apps and games with app information and download links.

This policy covers this website only. It does not cover the apps you install, or the app stores and file hosts our download buttons may send you to – each of those has its own privacy policy.

Using the site does not require you to give us personal information. Where the law requires your consent, for example for optional cookies, we ask for it separately and you are free to say no.

2. Information we collect

Information you send us

When you email us – for support, to report a problem or abuse, to submit an app, or to send a copyright notice – we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write or attach. We use it only to deal with your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical request data. Like every website, our servers and our security and delivery provider (Cloudflare) receive your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from and the time. This is needed to deliver pages and files, keep the site secure (for example, to stop bots and attacks) and fix problems.
  • Download and update-request totals. When you download a file or press “Request update”, we add one to a counter for that app. These totals are not linked to you. To count an update request only once per visitor per day, we make a one-way code (a hash) from your IP address and the app. The code is deleted after 24 hours, and your IP address itself is not stored.
  • Settings saved in your browser. Your cookie choice, your language and whether you use dark or light mode are saved on your own device (see Cookies).

What we do not collect

We do not run user accounts, comments, newsletters or payment forms, and we never ask for sensitive information such as health, financial or identity documents. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful (see section 5). We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use information

  • To show the website and deliver the files you ask for.
  • To protect the site and its visitors from abuse, spam and attacks.
  • To answer your emails and handle reports, app submissions and copyright notices.
  • To see which apps are popular, using download totals, and keep app pages up to date.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We only use the ones below. Necessary ones are needed for the site to work and stay secure, so they run without asking.

Name Set by What it does How long
aab_consent AABforAndroid Remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. 90 days
aab-theme (browser storage) AABforAndroid Remembers whether you chose dark or light mode. Until you clear your browser data
Language setting GTranslate Remembers the language you picked in the language menu. Only set if you change language. Set by GTranslate
cf_clearance, __cf_bm Cloudflare Security: shows that your browser passed a check and helps tell people from bots. Short-lived (minutes to hours)
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics Optional. Tells visits apart, so we can count visitors and see which pages are useful. Set only after you choose “Accept all”. Up to 2 years

Optional cookies – today only Google Analytics – are set only after you choose “Accept all” in our cookie bar. Until then Analytics works without cookies: Google receives only a cookieless signal without any identifier, so visits can be counted approximately. If you choose “Only necessary”, Analytics does not load at all. You can change your choice anytime with “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings, a link at the bottom of every page, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings. More details are in our Cookie Policy.

6. Service providers

A few trusted companies help us run the site. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

  • Cloudways, with its infrastructure partner Vultr – host the website, its database and the server logs.
  • Cloudflare – delivers and protects the site (content delivery, bot and attack protection, DNS), stores and delivers the APK files we host, and forwards email sent to [email protected].
  • Google – our support mailbox runs on Gmail. The details, icons and screenshots of Google Play apps come from Google Play; we keep copies of those pictures on our own server, so your browser does not load them from Google. The site’s font and the video preview pictures are served from our own server too. A video itself loads from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) only when you press play; then Google receives your IP address. Google Analytics measures how the site is used – pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and how you arrived. It loads only once the page sees that a person is using it, it does not store full IP addresses, and its data is kept for at most 14 months.
  • GTranslate – provides the language menu and the automatic translation of pages.
  • F-Droid – the details, icons and screenshots of open-source apps come from f-droid.org; the pictures are copies on our own server. Some download buttons fetch the APK file directly from f-droid.org, which then receives your IP address.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to answer a valid legal request, or to protect the site and its visitors.

7. Downloads and other websites

Files hosted by AABforAndroid are delivered through Cloudflare with download links that expire after a few hours.

Some download buttons take you to another website, such as Google Play or a third-party file host, and some pages link to developers’ websites and social media. When you leave AABforAndroid, the other site’s privacy policy applies and it may collect information about you. We do not control those sites.

The apps you install have their own privacy practices. Before installing, check the permissions an app asks for and the developer’s privacy policy.

8. How long we keep information

  • Server and security logs – kept for a limited time by our hosting and security providers, then deleted or overwritten.
  • Update-request codes – 24 hours.
  • Your cookie choice – 90 days, then we ask again.
  • Emails you send us – while we deal with your message and for a reasonable time afterwards for our records. You can ask us to delete them.
  • Download and request totals – kept as statistics. They are not personal information.

9. Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS and protected by Cloudflare’s security services, and access to our servers is restricted. Files we host are delivered with signed links that expire. No website can promise perfect security, but we work to protect the little information we hold.

10. International transfers

Our providers run data centres in many countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, our providers protect these transfers with recognised safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Your rights and choices

In the EEA and the UK you have the right to access your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

In California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will never treat you differently for using your rights.

To make a request, email us with the subject “Privacy request”. We reply within one month and may need to confirm your identity first. Because we hold so little, often the only personal information we have about you is an email you sent us.

Your choices: change your cookie choice under Cookie Settings, clear cookies and site data in your browser, or simply do not email us personal details you would rather keep private.

12. Children

AABforAndroid is a general-audience website and is not aimed at children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change – for example, if we start using advertising – we will make it clear on the site and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
